Behind the Scenes - Our Knitwear Collection
Being cozy and comfortable is very important to me when creating a collection and knitwear is my go-to as the seasons begin to change.
This season we are excited to offer a range of 100% Merino Knitwear produced by the Standard Issue workroom. A highly regarded and respected brand within New Zealand, we had full confidence in their quality and standard.

As a proudly New Zealand made brand, working with a local manufacturer in Mount Wellington was an obvious choice.

The panels of our Five Button Cardigan on the linking machine. The linking machine links each stitch on the panel to either another panel or the trim, creating a clean seam or a finished edge.
Natalie walks through the rows of flat knitting machines, which are the most versatile weft knitting machines. It creates the panels of our knitwear and some of the rib and purl trimmings.

The pressing station in the Standard Issue Workroom. The presser is a steam bed that removes unwanted creases or wrinkles. Pressing the garment is the final stage of the production process before it is shipped to us and put out into our Showroom.
